The River Arun, in West Sussex, flows gently through Arundel, past the castle, and on to meet the English Channel at Littlehampton. Upon its banks lies the pleasant town of Horsham. The town is the legendary home of the local Dragon, who according to the stories was fought by the brave Saint Leonard and now hides in the forest. St Leonard himself was a 5th century hermit who lived in France and never actually visited the area, or England at all for that matter. In The Five Orange Pips, a Sherlock Holmes story by fairy hunter Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, the fictitious Openshaw family was said to live here.
