Huntingdon is a beautiful English town, sitting peacefully on the banks of the River Great Ouse, and near to Portholme Water Meadow, probably one of the largest ancient water meadows in the UK. In 2005 Huntingdon celebrated its 800th anniversary and a long and colourful history. The town was the birthplace of Oliver Cromwell who lived in the famous Hinchingbrooke House, which later housed the Earls of Sandwich, including the famous Earl who asked for the first 'sandwich' – if he had the option of a Domino’s pizza, we think we know what he would have chosen!
